What’s the program all about?
In the REAL Biomedical program, we believe the biology inside all of us is fascinating. We teach students the magic of biology, from peeling back the layers of cadavers to studying the magic of cells with microscopes. Biomedical skills can be used everywhere, as the field is growing and offers a variety of opportunities, ranging from nutrition, exercise science, and sports science to the medical field.
What will students learn?
We explore biology through hands-on learning and applying science to see what’s inside all living things. We accomplish this through a variety of topics and lessons, all aimed at preparing our students for the real world. These topics and lessons could include:
Health care system
Anatomy
Nutrition
Movement science
What courses will students take?
REAL Biomedical offers a variety of exciting and hands-on courses, including AP–EEP Biology (providing 3 College Credits) as well as numerous courses within the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
Project Lead the Way is an award-winning, highly relevant, hands-on curriculum that empowers students to solve real-world challenges. Central Falls High School is proud to offer this transformative and imaginative learning experience for our Biomedical and Environmental Engineering programs. Courses include:

What types of opportunities will students have?
Biomedical is everywhere; any field related to health has a use for these skills. Graduates of our program could go on to become:
